Position Overview
We’re hiring a dependable and upbeat Deli Associate to help drive the customer’s experience in our busy corporate café. This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, takes pride in cleanliness and detail, and thrives in a team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve deli sandwiches and sides according to recipes and presentation standards
- Set up and maintain a fully stocked and visually appealing deli station with fresh toppings, meats, cheeses, and breads
- Engage with customers in a friendly and respectful manner, providing fast, accurate, and courteous service
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, adhering to all sanitation and cleanliness protocols
- Support teammates with daily food prep, catering orders, and cleaning tasks as needed
- Follow basic food handling guidelines and all departmental SOPs consistently
- Practice “clean-as-you-go” habits to maintain hygiene throughout the shift
- Assist with washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and end-of-day breakdowns
- Monitor food freshness and restock as needed while minimizing waste
- Comply with local, state, and federal food safety and workplace safety standards
- Participate in team huddles, communicate effectively with leadership, and maintain a positive attitude
Requirements
- Previous food service or deli experience preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced setting
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, reach, bend, and handle cooler/freezer conditions
