The Shipping and Receiving Clerk at IKA is responsible for maintaining efficient warehouse operations by performing a variety of inventory, shipping, and receiving tasks.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate unloading, unpacking, comparison, receipt, and location assignment of all inventories from purchase and manufacturing orders.
  • Pick and deliver all inventories to the manufacturing department to meet the requirements of manufacturing orders.
  • Pick, prepare for pick-up or shipment, and load all inventories required for supply-type purchase orders.
  • Pick, properly package, ship, and load all inventories required to fulfill customer orders. This may include completing routing and shipping information/documents for delivery based on the terms of the customer order.
  • Perform cycle counts and/or inventory audits as required by the supervisor.
  • Handle the disposition of all materials rejected by the QC, Manufacturing, Purchasing, or Sales departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory quantities and locations through completed transactions in SAP.
  • Safely use and maintain all warehouse equipment required for performing duties.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, preferably SAP.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or as required).
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to assist with multiple tasks, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Salary Description
$20 / hour
