Join Mizuho as a Program Manager!
We are seeking a Program Manager – IT Demand & Governance to support enterprise technology demand management and portfolio readiness. This role ensures proposed initiatives are fully defined, validated, and aligned across technology teams before advancing to senior governance and executive prioritization forums.
The role sits at the intersection of intake, planning, and governance, enabling informed decision‑making across the technology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
IT Demand Readiness Coordination
- Support the transition of technology demand from initial intake review into the IT Demand process
- Ensure demand routed to IT Demand is packaged with all required intake information, tiering context, and review outcomes
- Act as the primary coordination point with IT group PMOs once demand enters IT Demand governance
Cross‑Team Coordination & Validation
- Distribute qualified demand requests to impacted technology groups for review and validation
- Coordinate completion of standardized readiness checklists across technology teams, validating:
- Scope clarity and feasibility
- Cross‑team dependencies and sequencing considerations
- Capacity availability and feasible start timing
- Control and risk considerations
- Ongoing operational and run‑the‑business impacts
- Track and follow up on conditional or incomplete responses
Governance & Portfolio Flow
- Prepare consolidated readiness views highlighting constraints, risks, and conditions ahead of governance meetings
- Support IT demand and portfolio review forums by ensuring discussions are decision‑ready rather than discovery‑based
- Facilitate feedback cycles when initiatives require additional refinement or re‑validation
Process Discipline & Improvement
- Apply consistent governance standards and readiness criteria across all demand
- Identify recurring gaps or bottlenecks in the demand intake and validation process
- Contribute to continuous improvement of demand governance workflows, tools, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
- 5–9 years of experience in Demand Management, Business Project Management, Program Management Office, or Business Analyst roles
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience working across multiple functions and committees
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective presentation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, and Excel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
The expected base salary range is $111,000 – $170,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a comprehensive benefits package, eligible employees may receive a discretionary bonus.
