Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Biomedical/Biological Sciences or a closely related field degree in hand by May/June 2026.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates must have first-author publication(s) in leading, peer-reviewed journals that provide clear evidence of independent experimental conception and execution of advanced CRISPR-based methodologies, including genome editing, CRISPR-mediated gene silencing, ChIP-seq, and CIDOP-seq. The ideal candidate will possess deep mechanistic expertise in integrating metabolic reprogramming, histone methylation dynamics, and three-dimensional chromatin architecture.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator in the department of Pathology, and Stony Brook Cancer Center. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of exceptional scholarly achievement along with a strong capacity for innovative hypothesis-driven research and outstanding communication skills is expected. The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University.
Duties:
● Within the predetermined research scope and methodology, conduct research experiments in the field of Cancer Biology and molecular carcinogenesis.
● Collect and analyze data, including periodical/literature search and utilizing specialized skills in related fields to analyze the collected data.
● Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations. May also assist in grant writing.
● Lab maintenance, including equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies as needed.
● Other duties as assigned, which may include attending Scientific Conferences and Meetings.
