Job Description:
The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for leading the technical execution of complex, cross‑functional projects, ensuring alignment between product performance, cost, and timing objectives. This role serves as a key technical authority and coordination point across multidisciplinary teams, driving engineering decisions and supporting project delivery from concept through production and launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical execution of complex projects following the Product Development process.
- Serve as the primary technical reference for cross‑functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project planning and execution to ensure compliance with performance, cost, and timing targets.
- Present technical status, risks, and progress updates to project leadership and senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Project Leaders to align technical deliverables with overall project objectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks; support the definition and execution of technical contingency plans.
- Drive technical convergence activities and support escalation and decision‑making processes.
- Ensure engineering solutions meet product requirements, quality standards, and manufacturability expectations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful implementation of technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, product development, or technical leadership roles.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in New Product Development (NPD) environments with successful delivery of multiple projects.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, product design, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to lead technical problem‑solving and influence engineering decisions across teams.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders (manufacturing, quality, supply chain, program management).
- Familiarity with cost drivers and design‑to‑cost principles.
- Technical risk assessment and mitigation planning.
- Working knowledge of structured development processes and project management methodologies (PMBOK knowledge is a plus).
