New Way Trucks is currently seeking a Receiving & Shipping Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for leading all inbound and outbound material activities for the operations in Booneville, MS. This role ensures accurate, timely, and safe receipt of purchased materials and the efficient shipment of finished goods, service parts, and intercompany transfers across three geographic locations within one mile of the primary facility. This position owns the day-to-day execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of shipping and receiving processes, policies, and procedures in our Mississippi locations. Support the Receiving Process Owner in continuous improvement and digitalization of receiving processes.  The Supervisor leads a team of 2–5 employees in a digital, ERP-driven warehouse environment and plays a critical role in inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, safety performance, and operational discipline. 

Your Role in our Mission: 

Receiving and Shipping Operations 

  • Supervise daily receiving and shipping activities across multiple facilities nearby. 
  • Ensure materials are received accurately against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation. 
  • Oversee preparation, packaging, loading, and documentation for outbound shipments. 
  • Ensure all receiving and shipping transactions are completed accurately and timely in the ERP system (Epicor Kinetic). 
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Logistics to resolve shortages, damages, or discrepancies. 

Process Ownership and Continuous Improvement 

  • Support owner in maintaining and improving shipping and receiving processes, policies, and standard operating procedures. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency, safety, and material flow. 
  • Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. 

Inventory Control and Safety 

  • Enforce disciplined inventory transactions and physical material handling practices. 
  • Support cycle counting and physical inventory activities. 
  • Ensure proper material identification, labeling, staging, and location control. 
  • Enforce OSHA requirements and company safety standards. 

Leadership Responsibilities 

  • Lead, coach, and develop receiving and shipping team members. 
  • Assign daily work, set priorities, and ensure adequate staffing coverage. 
  • Train employees in safety, material handling, and system procedures. 
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

To Perform this Job Successfully:

Required 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 3–5 years of experience in receiving, shipping, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment 
  • Prior supervisory or team-lead experience 
  • Experience working in a digital shipping, receiving, and warehouse environment (ERP/WMS) 
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and material flow

Preferred 

  • Associate’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing or vehicle or truck manufacturing 
  • Working knowledge of Epicor Kinetic
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification 
  • Experience supporting lean or continuous improvement initiatives  

Physical and Work Environment 

  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment 
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50lbs with assistance) 
  • Operation of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks 
  • Overtime as required to support production and shipping schedules
