Position Summary: This position will be responsible for auditing home Supervisory visits done by staff in the Albuquerque NM Branch. They will assist in document gathering for all audits such as Medical Records requests. In addition, the Compliance Coordinator will support all aspects of the Compliance Program on an as-needed basis.

Location: Ambercare 2129 Osuna Rd. NE Albuquerque, NM 87113

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM Some occasional Evenings & Weekends per business needs

Essential Duties:

  • Maintains positive internal and external customer service relationships
  • Monitors and audits CDPAP time sheets and other documentation for the purpose of detecting and addressing potential fraud
  • Conducts, documents, and reports on compliance related investigations
  • Receives and gathers documentation for medical record requests from external parties (including clients/patients)
  • Assists with external audits (e.g. Medicaid), including gathering and preparing the documentation to be submitted
  • Maintains standardized tools for documenting and reporting compliance activity throughout the enterprise
  • Performs special projects and assignments as requested in an accurate, timely and professional manner
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
  • Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
  • Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, state, federal and privacy regulations and requirements
  • Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements & Competencies:

  • High school diploma
  • One year experience in home care and/ or Senior/ Disabled services- preferred
  • Working knowledge of compliance-related issues such as Fraud, Waste, and Abuse and Anti-Kickback regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Responds positively to direction and is able to effectively carry out assigned tasks to completion
  • Ability to effectively interpret, apply and communicate policies, procedures and regulations
  • Ability to operate PC-based software programs including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
