Summary



Responsible for driving vehicle, providing courier service for the Women's and Children's Hospital.



Will be picking-up and delivering blood, specimens, supplies and files.



 



Responsibilities



Correctly transports specimens/parcels to ensure specimens/parcels integrity. Promptly picks up and transports specimens/parcels with minimal delays. • Transports drug(s) ensuring that said drug(s) are not out the courier’s possession until delivered to the appropriate destination thereby insuring the chain of custody.



• Demonstrates knowledge of all courier routes and assists with route rearrangement as needed.



• Demonstrates good judgment in dealing with client requests by assessing the situation or request and acting within acceptable department guidelines to accommodate the client.



• Communicates well with clients and fellow staff members by exhibiting a positive, friendly, and courteous attitude that promotes a positive image of AnMed.



• Maintains a constant awareness of the condition of the vehicle. Reports any unsafe condition and or unusual noise or vibration insuring the vehicles safe operation. Performs accurate vehicle checklist.



• Adheres to policies of AnMed and the department regarding attendance, breaks, lunches, and requests for days off. • Maintains a clean and presentable vehicle by insuring that the interior and exterior of the vehicle is kept clean.



 



Qualifications: 



HS diploma/GED. Valid SC drivers license; good time management skills.
