Job Summary:

This position is responsible for pulling cheese from coolers and delivering to the packaging lines in a timely manner, cleaning forms, running CIP systems and handling chemicals. Keeping the CIP system running properly and keeping the general area clean. This position requires strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, safety, timekeeping, and personal conduct rules. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate and certification for Forklift, pallet jack and walkie forklift in tight spaces
  • Understand daily production schedules for staging cheese for packaging lines
  • Conduct CIP verifications (i.e., Chemical concentrations, flow, time and temperature)
  • Communicate any food safety related issues to supervisor or managers 
  • Observe facility and equipment conditions to ensure in good condition and in compliance
  • Perform and follow SSOP’s on production tools and equipment 
  • Document sanitation and production checks
  • Follow proper GMP’s, PPE’s and chemical handling practices  
  • Maintain chemical usages and inventory adjustments     
  • Understand FIFO (First In First Out) system 
  • Complete Master Sanitation Schedules on a timely matter 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience:

  • Sanitation experience in a food production environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations 
  • Possess organizational, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to pay close attention to the details 
  • Capable of following directions given; consistency is crucial to the position 
  • Must have proficient manual dexterity to perform routine functions 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Sitting 1-2 hours per day
  • Standing 4-10 hours per day
  • Walking 4-10 hours per day
  • Frequent bending
  • Occasional reaching, kneeling, and squatting
  • Able to lift/carry up to 40lbs.
  • Able to push/pull up to 60lbs. 



5am - 3pm, Monday - Friday, OT as required (Saturdays)
