 GROUP LOGISTICS COMMODITY MANAGER

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

In this role you will be responsible for managing global transportation activities while leading procurement strategies for logistics services within Electrolux Professional. This role ensures cost-effective sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance, aligning with the company’s high standards of quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Purchasing Strategy & Supplier Management
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for transportation and logistics services (ocean, air, road, multimodal, warehousing).
  • Lead tender processes, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with carriers and logistic providers
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor transportation spend and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
  • Act as bridge between EPR stakeholders (for joint tenders and global agreements)
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for logistics purchasing activities.
  • Ensure efficient and sustainable movement of goods across global regions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align transportation solutions with business needs and sustainability goals.
  • Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, Incoterms, and company policies.
  • Mitigate risks related to supplier performance and global transportation disruptions.

Qualifications

WHAT’S NEEDED FOR YOU TO THRIVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a global organization, ideally in logistics services.
  • Proficiency in ERP and procurement systems; knowledge of TMS is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong expertise in logistics procurement and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with ocean and air freight operations and documentation.
  • Analytical skills for cost analysis and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Electrolux Professional’s premium positioning and sustainability objectives.
