TxDOT Public Transportation Division is looking for a graduate-level intern to support statewide - transit, bicycle, and pedestrian initiatives. The intern would assist TxDOT in two primary areas: 1) design of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and 2) research on transit design. In this role, the intern would be exposed to current transit and active transportation planning and design efforts, transportation funding, and project development processes, working closely with a small, dynamic team. The position can be full or part-time during the summer at the Department’s Division Headquarters in South Austin.

Performs routine administrative support work. Work involves performing a wide range of administrative and office support work for the department. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a discipline related to area of assignment
Experience: No work experience required
Other Conditions:
- Must be at least 16 years of age, and currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college/university.
- Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
