We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Underwriter to support our commercial lending efforts across all portfolios. Summary / Objective
The Commercial Underwriter examines, evaluates, and makes recommendations on loan files for commercial real estate, secured term loans, lines of credit, SBA and commercial construction loans. This role may include limited loan approval authority and plays an important part in developing and supporting loan production and credit administration across the bank.

Essential Job Functions
- Prepare loan write‑ups, credit analysis, and credit proposals for approval
- Monitor loans regularly to ensure timely documentation and ongoing creditworthiness
- Perform portfolio management functions, including:
- Annual property inspections
- Lender evaluations and progress reports
- Financial analysis reviews and credit comments
- Credit write‑ups for annual renewals and new loans
- Manage loans on a portfolio basis as assigned
- Present loan packages to loan committee for approval
- Assist with determining loan terms and appropriate borrowing parameters
- Participate in and support community activities
- Maintain working knowledge of various government lending programs
