General Description:

The Service Technician III plays a vital role within our technical service teams, embodying the right onsite attitude and ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to at the highest standards. This position is accountable for executing daily service installations as planned, completing tasks efficiently and on schedule. Additionally, the technician must perform all project functions to meet company standards, diligently following established standard operating procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain the warranty and service schedule. Ensuring the timely communication and completion of service and warranty work with an emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot and resolve solar electric warranty and service issues that arise with modules, inverters, monitoring, and balance of system components
  • Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert by providing on the job training and up-training for the local field service team
  • Regularly exceed defined goals for field service key performance indicators including but not limited to turnaround time, experience rating, and average dispatches completed
  • Following work safety procedures as directed in accordance with OSHA regulations
  • Assisting in maintaining company fleet stock and cleanliness
  • Assisting in warehouse organization and cleanliness as assigned by supervisor
  • General labor, including or not limited to carrying panels and ladders, panel cleaning, site cleanup
  • Support the onboarding and training of new members of the field service team
  • Participates in the On Call rotation
  • Execute punch list follow-ups to ensure install quality and customer satisfaction as directed
  • Role models the Solar Alternatives organizational culture daily.
