Position Overview
St. Petersburg Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Offensive Line Coach to join our football staff. This position is responsible for developing and leading the offensive line unit, fostering a culture of toughness, discipline, and accountability, and supporting the overall mission of the Barons football program.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and develop all offensive line positions (OL fundamentals, techniques, and schemes)
- Plan and implement daily drills, practice plans, and individual development sessions
- Teach proper techniques including stance, footwork, hand placement, run blocking, and pass protection
- Collaborate with the Head Coach and offensive staff on game planning and play installation
- Break down film (practice and game) to evaluate player performance and opponent tendencies
- Promote strength, conditioning, and offseason development for offensive linemen
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and team-first culture aligned with school values
- Monitor academic progress and support student-athlete success in the classroom
- Assist with program needs including equipment, game day operations, and team events
- Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes on and off the field
Qualifications
- Previous playing and/or coaching experience on the offensive line preferred
- Strong knowledge of offensive line techniques and schemes
- Ability to teach and communicate effectively with high school student-athletes
- Commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic high school
- High energy, organization, and attention to detail
- Willingness to contribute to offseason training and program development
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must meet all school, diocesan, and state coaching requirements (including background screening and certifications)
Preferred Qualifications
- Varsity or collegiate playing/coaching experience
- Experience with strength and conditioning programs
- Ability to contribute in additional areas (special teams, JV support, etc.)
