As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Advanced Drafter to support our drafting and survey teams with complex CAD drafting, 3D modeling, and high-precision technical drawings across a variety of projects.

Position Overview

The Advanced Drafter is responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings and survey deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software. This role requires strong technical expertise, advanced drafting skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and field survey teams.

You will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards on every project.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other drafting software

  • Develop accurate survey maps, profiles, topographic models, and utility layouts

  • Assist with pole profiling, surface modeling, and 3D representations for utility projects

  • Integrate field data into final drawings in collaboration with survey teams

  • Ensure all drawings comply with client specifications, industry regulations, and company standards

  • Perform quality control reviews prior to submission

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior drafters on best practices and drafting standards

  • Stay current with emerging drafting technologies and workflow improvements


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of drafting experience, preferably in surveying, civil engineering, or utility design

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, utility mapping, and construction drawings

  • Experience managing large drawing files and working with complex datasets

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Effective communication skills and ability to support junior team members
