Compensation: $65,000–$95,000 annually (hourly-based, depending on experience)

Join Our Team as a Service Technician

Smith-Boughan Mechanical, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled Food Service Repair Technician/HVACR Technician to join our growing service team in Lima, OH.

This is an opportunity to work on Food Service Equipment/HVACR in restaurant environments. If you’re a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and working independently in the field, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain ice makers, fryers, grills, ovens, etc…
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC units and walk in’s
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues
• Perform preventive maintenanceand system inspections
• Work directly with customers to understand needs and deliver solutions
• Complete service documentation and communicate findings clearly
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of Food Service and/or HVACR experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Work Environment

• Service area typically within approximately a 60-mile radius of Lima, OH
• Primarily local work – minimal overnight travel
• Restaurant and Convenience store environments
