General Summary:
Process rent and other billings based on leases or other contractual arrangements.
Summary of Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the interpretation of tenant leases to facilitate invoicing/billing
- Performs common area maintenance/escalation calculations for tenants in accordance with their lease agreement
- Maintains control of revenue billing which entails updating tenant charges within Yardi in a timely manner
- Responsible for monthly accrual or reclass journal entries
- Prepares and maintains escalation files for tenants located at core properties
- Administers Yardi for new leases, renewals, and terminations
- Maintains Yardi billing records for all tenants pertaining to escalation, utility sales, and tenant sales
- Monitors and processes tenant commission and tenant allowance reimbursement payments
- Monitors and processes utility invoices for main core properties
- Assist with preparation and processing of monthly invoices and statements
- Performs monthly closing procedures on all properties
- Meet with tenants to address all billing inquiries and questions as necessary
- Assists in yearly budget preparation and forecasting of utility sales, escalation, tenant sales, and other areas as needed
- Assists with special projects and year-end audits when needed
- Assists with J-SOX documentation of the billing process
- Assists in Cash Receipts and Applications process
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required; preferred field of education: Accounting
Experience / Knowledge /Skills Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in billing accounting or real estate lease administration
- 2-3 years of experience working in either commercial or residential real estate industry
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Work collaboratively with others
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Annual Salary: $85,000 - $90,000
