We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Test Technologist. This position reports to Test Engineering Leader will work in Vancouver, BC.
Vancouver:
Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.
About the position
As Test Technologist on the Vancouver team, you will be involved ensuring tests are run efficiently with representative samples at appropriate throughput. The role requires proper documentation and ongoing recommendations and actions to improve testing methods, processes, equipment, and analysis.
General Responsibilities
Prepare test samples
Conduct and document tests
Perform root cause analysis
Create and maintain databases
Perform preliminary data analysis
Prepare reports
Maintain and modify test equipment
Assist in sensor selection and integration
Complete additional job duties and assignments up to 15% of the time

Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in (operational/engineering/manufacturing/etc.) environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:
Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
Experience with common measurement gauges and hand tools
Experience in accelerated testing of products
Experience in root cause analysis and failure mode identification
Experience designing and building hydraulic fluid power systems
Experience setting up and using measurement systems and software, preferably Dewesoft
Experience analyzing datasets and performing basic statistical analyses.
Experience wiring and troubleshoots control cabinets and PLC’s
Experience reading and interpreting technical standards
Familiarity with different manufacturing and coating methods
Experience working with different types of materials (metals and engineering plastics)
