Position Description
Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking an innovative Elementary Reading and Math Intervention Teacher who will play a critical role in the Michigan International Prep School. This position has primary responsibilities of implementing small group and one-on-one instruction to build foundation skills and support student growth needs, analyze student data to guide instruction, and collaborate with grade level teachers to develop comprehensive plans for instruction to meet the unique needs of students. This person will have the ability to work well with other teachers, staff, students, and parents while handling multiple tasks. The successful candidate will be comfortable with productive change and embrace the opportunity to be a part of a team reshaping the way students engage in and demonstrate learning. This position will report directly to the Elementary Principal.
Qualifications
● Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate
- Math or Reading Specialist Preferred
- Orton Gillingham Training Preferred

- Demonstrate ability to plan and evaluate strategies for improving instruction
Essential Duties
- Conduct Interactive Reading and Math Intervention small groups or one-on-one sessions using Google Meet
- Parent/Guardian Communication:
- Create IRIPS and lead parent meetings to share the plan
- Communicate entry/exit in intervention groups
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student absences/progress.
- Address parent/guardian/home coach concerns.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences as requested by classroom teachers
- Track Student Growth
- Collect informal growth data in lessons
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Maintain up to date student data.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures.
- Assessment & Evaluation:
- Assist to Administer/Proctor iReady/Accadience Reading and Math Assessments
- Proctor State Assessments
- Collaboratively Analyze Student Data to Determine if Students Qualify for Assessments and Use it to Guide Intervention Instruction
- Work with Classroom Teachers, Academic and Student Engagement Team, Student Support Team, Social Emotional Support Team, and other departments as needed.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure student success.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities–some virtual and some in person
- Technology Proficiency:
- Utilize online learning platforms and educational software effectively.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical support to students and parents.
- Key Considerations for Cyber School Teachers:
- Flexibility: Cyber school teachers must be adaptable and flexible to meet the unique needs of online learners.
- Tech Savvy: Strong technology skills are essential for success in a cyber school environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective online interaction.
- Organization: Strong organizational and time-management
- Carry out other duties and obligations that are determined to facilitate the school’s mission, goals, standards, and Education Program
- Employee must honor written Board Policies and Administrative Regulations
- Employee must be able to stand for a minimum of 30 minutes at a time
- Employee must be able to lift 25lbs
- Employee must be able to sit in chair for long intervals
