This role, based in our China office, represents an excellent opportunity to drive regulatory and compliance expertise across a wide range of technical domains, supporting prestigious customers in meeting global regulatory requirements.
You will conduct in‑depth research and analysis on international regulations related to Electrical Safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Energy Efficiency and Fire Safety Regulations. You will provide clear guidance on compliance strategies, monitor emerging regulatory trends, and maintain accurate documentation within dedicated regulatory databases. The role also includes interpreting complex regulatory frameworks and preparing executive summary reports outlining key changes and their business impact.
Working under general supervision, you will act as a key point of contact for internal teams and industry stakeholders, ensuring up‑to‑date knowledge of global and regional compliance requirements. You will contribute to identifying new business opportunities by delivering high‑quality regulatory insights and tailored solutions that support sustainable product development and ensure adherence to international standards across different markets and product categories.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and research reports based on the required regulatory information.
- Provide point-of-access support to address any local acceptance issues under supervision and guidance.
- Coordinate research/studies including multiple products, regulations, countries under supervision and guidance.
- May act as owner of certain geographic areas or regulations under supervision and guidance.
- Cooperate with industries and colleagues to support development GMA knowledge services and customized solutions.
- Supports actions related to GMA business expansion scope, track opportunity and business results.
- Maintain expertise and provide guidance on regulations related to:
• Electrical Safety
• Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
• Energy Efficiency
• Fire Safety Regulations - May supervise the day-to-day delivery of high-quality knowledge services under supervision and guidance.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of related experienced is preferred. Fresh graduates are also welcome.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other specialization based on the specific coverage, preferred.
- Knowledge of international standards and regulations (IEC, EN, UL standards).
- Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Additional languages are considered a plus
