Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Program Manager- Specialist Programs to join the Mental Health Division.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About Mental Health Division:
Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.
Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.
We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.
About the Role:
The Program Manager – Specialists Programs is responsible for the strategic development and operational management of the Mental Health Division’s Specialist Programs, including HOPE, Specialist Family Violence, FaPMi, Forensic Clinical Specialists, Perinatal Mental Health, Personality Disorder Service, Eating Disorder Specialist, Wadamba Wilam, NDIS leads, Mental Health Tribunal Clinical Coordinator, Vocational and Community Development.
To be successful in this role:
Experience and good working knowledge of:
- Management experience in a management role within a medium to large complex health service.
- Staff management experience within a medium to large complex health service.
- A proven ability to develop and meet operational budgetary objectives using excellent written and verbal communication, consultation and influencing skills and sound judgement.
- Comprehensive understanding of best practice information management processes.
- Ability to interpret data and develop detailed business cases in support of strategic initiatives.
- Literacy in IT systems that support information management and reporting in a large complex organisation.
- Excellent knowledge and ability to apply the National Safety and Quality Health Standards.
