Clinician /Case Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:



The Adult Behavioral Health Therapist is part of a comprehensive service team that provides clinical behavioral health services to an assigned adult caseload using evidence-based practice modalities. Primary responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and coordination of services to best promote overall health, wellness, and recovery. Caseload could include individuals with moderate or severe mental illness, with overlapping disorders of substance use and/or medical conditions.

 

 


Qualifications


MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:




  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology from an accredited school

  • Active State of Michigan professional licensure - LMSW, LLMSW, LP, LLP

  • Minimum of one year experience in clinical services to individuals with severe mental illness, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred

  • Knowledge of psychopathology, adult psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and nomenclature of DSM Possess strong diagnostic, interviewing, and assessment skills

  • Knowledge of and clinical skills in crisis intervention, assessment, and therapeutic intervention

  • Ability to work with chronically mentally ill population, as well as with individuals undergoing acute episodes of psychiatric distress

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a professional, collaborative team

  • Adept at regular use of electronic medical records Proficient in the use of all MS Office applications, Office 365 and familiarity with other web-based solutions
