As part of our growth we are looking for a Workshop and Engineering Coordinator in Zejtun,Malta where you will be part of a global team fighting fraud and piracy!

Essential Functions Performed by the Position

Individual

· Implement, maintain and support new systems within the department to allow better management of Wear and Critical Spare Parts.

· Undertaking day-to-day running of the engineering stores in consultation with the engineering team.

· Issuing and retrieving orders via SAGE keeping into account RPN and stock levels KPI’s

· Ordering components and materials from suppliers to support ongoing projects and major interventions, checking of goods received and processing related documentation.

· Maintaining stores stock levels and carry out periodic stock audits

· Keep a detailed inventory of items/tools within engineering designated areas.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant health, Safety and Security policies.

· To support the engineering function on specialised tasks/projects/activities.

· Liaise directly with FLME, and Maintenance Manager to allow proper parts description and communication with OEM.

· Take part in VAVE activities to keep R&M cost KPI’s within budget.

· Document engineering requirements and liaise with subcontracting in the manufacturing of mechanical parts.

· In business-critical situations, deliver and pick up of urgent parts from wholesalers, couriers’ depot and workshops.

· Need to be trained and able to manoeuvre using equipment such as fork lifters, stackers and motorised/un-motorised elevated platforms.

· Completes administrative activities related to attendance as per company policies.

· Ensures a safe and healthy workplace, including the promotion of the environmental, health and safety standards, integrated management systems and any other relevant initiatives.

· Report and contribute to resolving Safety and Security near miss reports.

· Participate in problem solving and root cause analysis.

· Contribute to generation of cost saving ideas.

· Facilitate continuous improvement exercises.

· Take initiatives to undergo any relevant training courses.

· Complete goals defined at all levels (individual, team, site & corporate).

· Attendance of self .

Division

· Support the Divisional leadership team, executing the strategy for Authentication in terms of the core GRS, brand protection and PC security propositions.

· Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the division.

· Contribute to deliver to customer OTIF, without compromising Quality.

Position Qualifications

Education:

· MQF level 4 or higher

Experience:

· Microsoft ECDL

Certifications/Licenses:

· Car/Small van driving license

Language Proficiency:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – Proficiency C1 or higher.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.

· Needs to have good organizational skills and be multi-tasking.

· Needs to prioritise workloads at short notice depending on availability of resources and machines.

· Possesses and uses the necessary analytical skills.

· Though he needs to rely on others’ experience, needs to be factual and can take rational decisions.

· Be accountable.

· Engages in intra/inter-departmental communication and provide technical feedback where necessary.

· Communication needs to be clear and factual.

· Be comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team and instils a ‘can-do’ attitude

· Be open to new technologies and methodologies and identify ways of how they can be used to improve quality, cost and delivery of products.

· Ability to work as part of a team.

· Ability to communicate both in written and spoken format.

· Be conversant with technical drawings and documentation.

§ Working knowledge of Sage purchasing module,

§ Hands-on experience in bearing fitting and in the use of a turning lathe and flat-bed grinder

would be considered as asset.

 

Working Hours and Conditions

· Working hours and shift schedules to be changed according to the requirements of the business.

· Office/Shopfloor/Outdoors Environment.

Physical Characteristics and Demands

· Need to be able to handle 25kg loads where necessary and according to HSE best practice.

· Ability to identify visual displays on diverse backgrounds.
