You will apply cloud-native AWS technologies to design and develop innovative frameworks and tools that enable scalable, efficient data management and position the platform for long-term success. The role includes reverse engineering existing on‑premise data capabilities and driving their migration to the cloud.

This position plays a critical role in delivering Fidelity’s mission to create the best customer experiences in financial services, offering meaningful technical impact and opportunities to innovate.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology-related field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in globally distributed, Agile teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex challenges from multiple perspectives and solve problems independently or collaboratively.
  • Experience developing, debugging, validating, monitoring, and resolving issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and PL/SQL, along with a strong understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT concepts and tools.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Elasticsearch).
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, and Unix/Linux scripting.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, Ansible, or equivalent.
  • Practical experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, and SQS; AWS Associate, Professional, or Specialty certifications are a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka or similar platforms (e.g., Kinesis, SNS, SQS) is a plus.
  • A strong desire and ability to continuously learn, adapt, and implement new technologies.
  • OLTP experience is required.
