Position Description
- Manage team members supporting Quick Bites Café operations and special events, including hiring, training, supervision, and performance oversight.
- Develop and maintain expertise in Quick Bites Café point‑of‑sale and labeling systems, as well as daily, weekly, and monthly sales reporting.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to design and implement menus, pricing, and engaging, sales‑driven product displays across café locations.
- Evaluate and regularly report on guest satisfaction while maintaining a consistently high level of service.
- Plan, organize, and oversee events of all sizes, including planning meetings, space coordination, vendor and volunteer support, and on‑site execution.
- Manage café and event budgets, expenses, contracts, invoicing, and vendor relationships, and evaluate event success to implement improvements based on feedback.
- Understand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS) per training, along with all safety rules and company policies.
- Communicate effectively by reading, writing, and speaking clearly with team members and leadership, and by understanding work and safety instructions.
- A well-managed, engaging food, beverage, and events program that enhances team member experience and company culture.
- Strong operational leadership that builds, develops, and sustains a collaborative, service-focused team.
- High-quality café offerings and successful events that reflect thoughtful planning, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Consistent guest satisfaction demonstrated through positive feedback, strong participation, and repeat engagement.
- Operational and financial excellence shown through effective budget management, vendor partnerships, and measurable program success.
- Seamless execution of events and daily operations, with flexibility to support evening and weekend programming as needed.
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and superb follow‑up, with a proactive and thorough approach including contingency planning.
- Proven experience managing large‑scale events (400+ attendees) while maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to remain calm and solve problems under pressure while leading by example.
- Experience interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing Team Members, with the ability to build and foster a positive team environment.
- Ability to multitask, stay self motivated, and work independently and proactively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with all teams and maintain strong working relationships.
- Experience with point of sale management and hands‑on customer service.
- Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel, along with a positive, “can‑do” attitude that reflects the company’s philosophy and values.
Preferred
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Current Food Handler’s Certificate or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- Prior experience in food service, hospitality operations, or event management within a corporate or large‑scale environment.
