Service Technician

The Service Technician at Headquarter Honda based in Clermont, FL plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of vehicles. the Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive systems of vehicles.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): 

  • Efficiently and accurately perform work as outlined on repair orders
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle automotive systems
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts
  • Conduct thorough examinations of vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Immediately notify the service advisor if additional work outlined is not necessary or required
  • Inform the service advisor promptly if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
  • Document all work performed
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop area
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provide estimates for labor and time required for additional automotive repairs
  • Effectively explain mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs to service advisors and customers
  • Participate in formal training sessions to stay updated on new technical information and techniques due to rapidly changing technology

 Qualifications

  • Adhere to the company’s uniform policy
  • Prior auto repair experience is required
  • Honda Dealership service department experience preferred but not required
  • Must be a team player, adaptable, and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service
  • Proficiency in operating shop equipment
  • Must provide own tools
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility in schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
