Responsibilities of a Caregiver:
Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Administer medication reminders and monitor health status as directed by healthcare providers
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Support clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments if needed
Document care provided and report any changes in condition to supervising healthcare professionals
Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure client safety
Ensure a safe and comfortable environment
Skills and Qualifications of a Caregiver:
Professional experience as a caregiver preferred but not required
Compassionate and empathetic attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and instructions
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
Physical ability to assist with mobility and perform light household tasks
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required)
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Experience working in inpatient or teaching hospital environments is advantageous
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients of diverse backgrounds
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient-centered care
Flexibility to adapt to varying client needs and schedules
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required)
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
