North Elm Animal Hospital in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Full-Time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our full-service small animal veterinary hospital. This Veterinary Assistant role is ideal for someone with strong clinical experience who is confident supporting exams, treatments, and surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.

 

We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of experience who is ready to step in, support the team, and provide excellent patient care from day one.

What you'll do:
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting client communication.
  • Preparing patients for exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures.
  • Administering medications as directed.
  • Assisting with laboratory testing including blood, fecal, and urine samples.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms, kennels, and surgical tools.
  • Monitoring post-operative patients and reporting changes.
  • Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures.
  • Educating pet parents on medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
  • Partnering with Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians to provide high-quality veterinary care.
