Role Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Deltek Vantagepoint Administrator Assistant to own day-to-day administration, user support, and ongoing optimization of our Vantagepoint environment. This role will assist our Accounting Specialist/Vantagepoint Administrator with the responsibilities listed below. This role blends system administration with business analysis and works closely with Accounting, Project Management, and Operations to ensure system stability, data integrity, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Deltek Vantagepoint, including user management, security roles, workflows, and system configuration.
- Manage system changes and enhancements using a controlled change management process with appropriate documentation.
- Track Deltek Vantagepoint releases and coordinate testing, QA, and deployment timing.
- Assist as the primary contact between business users and technical resources, including Deltek support and external consultants.
- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for end users across Accounting, Project Management, and Operations.
- Develop and deliver user training and promote consistent best-practice usage across the firm.
- Maintain strong data integrity through audits, validation routines, governance standards, as well as data clean-up efforts.
- Creating, modifying and maintaining user-defined components.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, saved searches, and custom fields to support operational and financial reporting.
- Support integrations with other enterprise systems and assist with automation initiatives where applicable.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement continuous improvement opportunities to reduce friction and improve system adoption.
- Users receive timely, effective support and recurring system issues are resolved at the root cause.
- Improved data quality and reliable reporting for leadership and project teams.
- Ongoing system improvements delivered in a controlled, documented, and well-adopted manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience assisting in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint in a project-based environment, preferably in the AEC industry OR 5+ years working with other ERP or CRM system applications.
- Demonstrated experience with system configuration, security administration, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions.
- Experience working closely with accounting and project management teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Accounting or project accounting background, including exposure to revenue recognition, billing, AP, and labor costing processes.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards; familiarity with business intelligence tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with Vantagepoint integrations, APIs, or workflow automation tools.
- Experience in an architecture, engineering, or professional services firm.
Preferred Skills:
- Team-oriented, professional, self-starter with a positive attitude and multi-tasking capability.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel of approximately 5% is anticipated
