Summary
The Winlock School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic program as a Middle School Assistant Volleyball Coach for the upcoming season. This seasonal position offers the opportunity to work with young athletes, fostering their skills, teamwork, and love for the game. The ideal candidate will have a passion for volleyball, a strong understanding of the sport, and the ability to motivate and inspire middle school students.

Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practice sessions, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Support the head coach in developing game strategies and preparing the team for competitions.
- Help organize and supervise team activities, including practices, games, and tournaments.
- Provide individual and group instruction to athletes to enhance their skills and understanding of the game.
- Monitor and promote the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
- Maintain a positive and safe environment for all participants during practices and competitions.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff regarding team activities and expectations.
- Assist in the management of equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good condition and properly stored.
- Uphold the values and standards of the Winlock School District and its athletic program.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience or strong knowledge of volleyball at the middle school level or higher.
- Ability to demonstrate and teach fundamental volleyball skills and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with young athletes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before the start of the season).
- A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Availability to attend all practices, games, and team events throughout the season.
- Must pass a background check as required by the Winlock School District.
