Job Description

JOB TITLE:          Panel Technician I

JOB TYPE:           Hourly, Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:     Shift Supervisor  

LOCATION:        Terry Blvd                      

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Panel Technician I will be responsible for basic knowledge to fabricate electrical control panels according to mechanical drawings.  This position is focused on working in a team environment to complete the control panel build while supporting the overall project schedule. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical circuits
  • Basic ability to interpret electrical schematics / layout drawings
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing ladders 
  • Must be able to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to perform all required tasks with minimal instruction and no supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two-year EE technical degree preferred
  • Some prior electrical experience or equivalent
  • Experience with:
    1. Basic use of hand tools
    2. Basic use of power tools

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug screen
