Job Summary
Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care, respond to emergency codes, maintain equipment readiness, and support patient/family education in collaboration with physicians and nursing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and bronchial hygiene; perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
- Manage and troubleshoot ventilators and non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) per protocol; document in the electronic health record (Meditech).
- Assist with crash cart maintenance and support patient/family respiratory education.
- Provide shift leadership/charge support as assigned; coordinate with the care team.
- Support emergent procedures with physicians and nurses as needed.
Job Qualifications
Required
- Arkansas license (RRT or CRT) and BLS; ACLS within required timeframe.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Preferred
- Recent acute-care respiratory care experience; advanced certifications (e.g., NRP, PALS).
Compensation & Schedule
- Status: Full-time (PRN/part-time may be considered).
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts with rotating weekends/holidays based on department needs.
- Pay: Competitive base pay with applicable differentials; details discussed during interviews.
