Job Description

Position Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for specific product line management in OPH and supports front-line sales and clinic application training team to achieve business goals. This function encompasses providing identification of the new market oppontunity, creation and implementation of products strategy, marketing events (new products launch) and campaigns on promotion, product technique, sales, and training expertise to address the needs of sales and distributors.

Main Tasks

1、Responsible for product life cycle management for the product. Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategy

2、Develop deep understanding of key markets to include products, technologies, market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics

3、Identifies market opportunity, strategy, establishes positioning, pricing, estimates sales forecast, sales tools. Monitors progress of Ophthalmic surgery product sales in market

4、Lead new product & portfolio development programs to meet customer needs and develop new customer and market

5、Develops and maintains relationship with prioritized customers (advisory board, KOLs and speakers) and mar-ket requirements for Ophthalmic surgery product

6、Defines and coordinates marketing events/promotional initiatives, support the social media campaign and anal-ysis customer behavior

7、Gather and synthesize secondary and primary market research as required to develop actionable market and customer intelligence

8、Collaborates cross-functionally with key business partners: such as professional education, supply chain/customer service, RA/QA/R & D, finance, etc. to develop and provide solutions meeting market needs and gain opportunities

9、Provides sales support activities including technical expertise and training to distributors

10、Organization/Business Acumen (Financial skills; ROI analysis; PPT, Excel, cultural needs/differences)

Education

Bachelor degree or above, medical major or MBA is preferred.

Experience

1、2+ year sales experience.Experience in ophthalmology or optometry industry is preferred

2、Minimum 4 years’ product management experience in medical device/IVD industry

3、Experience in big events&projects planning, including vendor selection, execution

4、Experience in managing industry Key Opinion Leaders and experts would be a must have

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1、Solid marketer in medical device industry with comprehensive product marketing experience

2、Excellent influencing capacity including negotiating and relationship management skills

3、Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task

4、Strong data collection, analytical evaluation and summarization capability

5、Excellent written, oral and presentation skills, both Chinese and English

Work Environment

1、Office-based with frequent travel to customer sites and industry events

2、Travel, predominantly domestic, approximately 50%
