Position Summary:  

New Castle Community School Corporation is seeking a dynamic and student-focused leader to serve as Principal of New Castle High School. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated staff, support student success, and shape a positive and high-performing school culture.  The Principal provides overall leadership and direction for New Castle High School, including academic achievement, staff supervision, student discipline, and school operations. The ideal candidate is an instructional leader who values relationships, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead school improvement efforts to increase student achievement


• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment


• Supervise and evaluate staff; support professional growth


• Oversee student discipline, attendance, and extracurricular programs


• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and district requirements


• Manage building operations and budget effectively


• Build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and community

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (or related field)


• Valid Indiana Administrator License


• Successful teaching experience; prior leadership experience preferred


• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
