JOB PURPOSE
An Inbound Controller manages the efficient flow of goods, materials, or information into a warehouse or company system. They coordinate, track, and process incoming deliveries, verify inventory accuracy, and manage supplier documentation to ensure smooth operations. Key responsibilities include updating inventory systems, managing 3PL relationships, and communicating with procurement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all External/Allied supplier goods receiving transactions into the 3PL warehouse. To ensure all appropriate documentation is available to receive and put away inbound goods.
Support creation of 3PL’s inbound booking plans
Produce a monthly inbound plan for midterm/long term planning of inbound volumes. Engage with freight providers to identify opportunities within Portal access and reporting.
Single contact point for Warehouse issues resolution relating to external supplier. Define key contact points within each 3PL facility ensuring contact via Telephone, Email is always available. Proactively ensure alternative contacts are available when main contact is not available

Escalation contact point for inbound freight providers on issues relating to warehouse receiving. Define key contact points within each 3PL facility ensuring contact via Telephone, Email is always available. Proactively ensure alternative contacts are available when main contact is not available.
Manage all potential demurrage charges into 3PL’s avoiding any cost penalties.
Resolution & communication of all external supplier shortages to ensure correct onward processing completed (debit note / credit note). Liaise with material controllers to complete review and action plan within a timely manner. Resolve issues within 10 working days

Document & maintain processes/procedure workflows covering all relevant and current activities.
Support other Department functions to investigate and resolve outstanding invoice resolutions.
Produce stock reconciliation reports in line with financial approval including KPI’s showing operational transaction values and approval proof. Track stock discrepancies between 3PL & ERP system.
Analysis & action of stock reconciliation to ensure inventory is aligned across SAP and WMS. Daily actions to support the data integrity between Delphi ERP system and 3PL warehouse software. Record all actions taken to produce KPI to EMEA Inbound Supply manager on a weekly basis.
Liaise with Customs agents to ensure correct documentation is available ensuring no delays or charges apply to shipments.
Review and approval of customs providers VAT & Tax charges. Ensure correct level of charge is applied against invoice.
What we’re looking for
Self-motivated, well organized team player, able to work under pressure.
Must be proficient at using Microsoft office suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Logistics Market Knowledge (3PL’s, freight carriers, equipment providers)
Knowledge of Warehouse / Transport / Custom operations
Familiar with WMS / ERP systems (SAP an advantage)
