About the Role
The GYC Office Manager (GYC Chair) serves as both the student leader of the Greensboro Youth Council and the coordinator of day-to-day operations for the GYC office. This one-year leadership role is responsible for guiding the Executive Board, supporting members, and ensuring the organization meets its goals and mission.
Leadership (GYC Chair Responsibilities)- Serve as the official spokesperson for the Greensboro Youth Council at community events, meetings, and interviews.
- Plan and lead monthly GYC meetings.
- Attend and actively participate in at least 80% of GYC projects, events, and trainings.
- Guide the Executive Board and members in achieving annual goals and initiatives.
- Maintain the GYC office, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace.
- Check and respond to voicemails and communications.
- Assign tasks and support volunteers to ensure productivity and engagement.
- Manage and update social media platforms to promote GYC programs and events.
- Conduct monthly inventory of office supplies and assist with basic administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Current high school student (rising junior or senior).
- At least one (1) year of experience as a member of the Greensboro Youth Council (must be listed on application).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse groups and fostering inclusive environments.
