ABOUT KRAKEN AXES

Situated in downtown Washington, DC, Kraken Axes is not your traditional tavern. It is a place our guests go to throw back some brews, take aim, and test their mettle in the ultimate bar game. Axe throwing is an epic bar game, better than bowling, darts, and lumber jacking combined! Kraken Axes offers curious amateurs, seasoned pros, and weekend warriors the chance to enter a competitive axe-throwing arena.

We live boldly and act differently. We're a crew built of do-ers that deliver the unexpected each and every day. We curate environments, events, and experiences that make memorable moments where people feel recognized as human-first, allowing us to positively impact, empower, and collectively celebrate others in customized immersive experiences.

It is our collective efforts that ensure successful experiences for our guests, company, and ourselves. Which is why we foster a welcoming and accepting work environment.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN AXE COACH

You arrive for each of your scheduled shifts ready to provide our guests with the most exceptional customer service and anticipate our guests' needs in our fast-paced, high-octane environment. You bring performance skills and charisma to provide a best-in-class experience.

Axe Coaches walk guests through the ground rules for the facility, demonstrate how to throw an axe, and lead the guests through a round-robin tournament experience. Axe Coaches are responsible for making sure safety rules are enforced, taking group photos, and changing the targets post-events. Ideal candidates have hospitality experience and are hyped at the idea of bringing this axe-ellent experience to new audiences. No need to be an axe-throwing professional right off the bat we'll give you the training you need!
