Overview:
The Office Assistant in the Dean of Students Office will perform administrative and support tasks such as answering phones, filing, data entry, and helping with department projects and events. This role involves assisting with general office duties, provide information and and assistance to visitors, and performing other duties as assigned. Key responsibilities include providing excellent customer service and helping to maintain the efficient operation of the office.
Responsibilities:
Administrative support: Answer and direct phones, greet students and visitors, and provide general campus related information. Filing and record-keeping: Scan, file, and organize office documents. Data management: Enter data into various software platforms and spreadsheets, run reports, and compile program related data. Office organization: Help maintain a professional and organized office environment. Event support: Assist with the planning, promotion, and implementation of select student events and programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Proficiency with basic office software, social media, and university specific programs. Ability to work some evening / weekend hours for specific programs/events.
