Job Description

This role is a strategic capability shift for Leo India, moving from campaign-led thinking to design-led brand building. The Design Lead will be responsible for embedding design as a core driver of creative output, building cohesive brand ecosystems, and enabling platform-native, scalable, and high-quality design solutions across marquee accounts.

Strategic / Functional Responsibilities

 

· Drive the transition from campaign-based output to scalable design systems

· Define and implement visual identity frameworks and brand ecosystems

· Embed design thinking into the core creative process across brands

 

Execution / Delivery Responsibilities

 

· Lead design across digital-first ecosystems (social, content, campaigns, platforms)

· Ensure consistency, craft excellence, and scalability across outputs

· Translate brand and creative strategy into compelling visual narratives

 

Team / Leadership Responsibilities

 

· Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing design team

· Establish best practices, workflows, and design standards across offices

· Foster a design-first culture within creative teams

 

Stakeholder / Client Management

 

· Partner with Creative, Strategy, and Business teams to shape ideas from the ground up

· Act as a strategic design partner to senior clients, influencing brand decisions

Experience

 

· 10 to 15+ years in design, branding, or digital experience roles

· Experience working on large, complex brands (FMCG, retail, tech, platforms)

 

Skillset

 

· Strong expertise in brand identity, design systems, and digital design.

· Deep understanding of platform-native content and visual storytelling.

· Proficiency in relevant design tools and workflows.

 

Leadership / Behavioural Competencies
