Job Title: Mill Room Operator

Reports To: Production Control & Fulfillment Manager

 

Job Purpose: The Mill Room Operator position will work in RiverRun Cabinetry�s woodworking milling department.  They are responsible for machining and producing cabinet components and assembled cabinets to acceptable quality standards while always following safe work practices and maintaining a safe work area. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow and adhere to all safety rules and procedures.

  • Working and producing parts at CNC machine centers, edgebanders, dovetail drawer machines, powered hand tools, routers, and table saws.

  • Cutting parts and assembling cabinets to both quality and production standards.

  • Being able to perform as a machine operator at different workstations and being able to perform the proper required maintenance for all machinery and power tools.

  • The ability to build specialty cabinets and install accessory items

  • Ability to safely operate mobile equipment and packaging equipment.

  • Assist departmental leadership with multiple tasks including continuous improvement initiatives, inventory, and product reclamation

  • Working as member of a team

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education highly preferred.

  • Previous experience operating woodworking machines and equipment is highly desirable.

  • Must possess math skills, including fractions, and be proficient at using a tape measure.

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.  Occasionally will need to lift and/or move up to 120 lbs. with assistance.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment without compromising quality or accuracy of work. 

  • High attention to detail and excellent organization skills required.

  • Must be able to work with others and maintain a professional attitude.
