Job Description

Under the guidance of the Manager, this position is responsible for production support of the organization’s applications. As the primary point of contact, this individual is knowledgeable in all technical and operational aspects of the applications supported. This role involves resolving issues that arise, investigating solutions to problems, collaborating closely with business partners and vendors, and providing Information Technology (IT) support for organization initiatives.

Responsibilities

Application Administrator IT

  • Serves as the first point of contact for resolving application-related issues.
  • Investigates and troubleshoots technical problems, working closely with business partners and vendors.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive solutions and improvements.
  • Analyzes application data and develop system improvements.
  • Provides IT support for organization-wide initiatives and projects.
  • Maintains documentation related to application configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Assists with application upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Conducts system integration testing for application changes.
  • Monitors system performance and proactively address any issues.
  • Provides on-call after-hours support.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

 

Senior Application Administrator IT

Business Partnership & Collaboration

  • Understands business processes and technology to guide strategic and tactical decisions for the portfolio.
  • Maintains technology roadmaps and communicates changes to stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with business and technical teams to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Presents solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manages work requests and builds stakeholder relationships.

     

 

Application Management & Support

  • Leads Information Technology (IT) support for applications/platforms.
  • Monitors system performance and maintains documentation.
  • Conducts release reviews and manages updates.
  • Executes incident management procedures.
  • Engages with vendors and ensures compliance.
  • Provides on-call after-hours support. 

 

Technical Project Management

  • Plans and executes application/platform installations and upgrades.
  • Manages project schedules and communicates status.
  • Supports RFI/RFP development and evaluates options.
  • Consults in contractual negotiations and recommends changes based on requirements. 

 

IT Leadership Support 

  • Supports IT leadership in IT departmental budgeting, allocation, cost recovery, and lifecycle management. 
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
  • Level is dependent on years of experience and size/complexity of prior positions held.  
    • Application Administrator IT: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in application support or administration.
    • Senior Application Administrator IT: Minimum 7 years of experience in application support or administration.
  • Strong knowledge of application systems, databases, and IT infrastructure.
  • Proven analytical thinking skills. (Senior) Critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with banking or financial systems is a plus.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.
