Job Description

Type of position: Regular

Your future role on the team 

As a member of the electrical engineering team in Toronto, you will be
expected to apply established calculation and design methods when preparing
plans, schematics, technical specifications
and project estimates related to HV substations and renewable power facilities (Grid scale
Battery Energy Storage, Wind, Solar, Hydro).

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
  • Member in good standing with PEO
  • Be a new grad from school, or have ideally up to 2 years of experience in engineering as well as proficiency in reading and preparing electrical schematics of various types (single lines, three lines, and interconnection drawings)
  • Available for short-term assignments
  • Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications
  • Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations
  • Asset: Bilingual (English and French) spoken and written
  • Asset: Knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV)
  • Asset: Knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME and PSCAD software
  • Asset: Advanced engineering degree
  • Asset: Generation engineering experience
