Position Summary
This position is accountable for the overall management of dispatch operations and execution of the service plan for each customer and for the region.
Essential Functions
- Manage all aspects of dispatch operations
- Develop operating plans
- Establish and hold staff accountable for key performance measures such as volume generation, service performance, load ratio, and claims performance
- Establish long term customer relationships and identify growth opportunities
- Liaison between field operations and customers
- Attract and retain talent
- Interview and hire dispatchers
- Discipline, complete performance reviews and establish corrective actions
- Ensure all associates follow established safety procedures
