Campbell County Health (CCH) is more than just a hospital—we are a comprehensive healthcare system serving northeast Wyoming. Our organization includes Campbell County Memorial Hospital, a 90-bed acute care community hospital in Gillette; Campbell County Medical Group, featuring nearly 20 specialty and primary care clinics—including locations in Wright and Hulett; and The Legacy Living & Rehabilitation Center, a long-term care facility. 



JOB SUMMARY



This position is located on-site at 501 South Burma, Gillette, WY 82718.



The IT Intern will support the IT department with essential technical tasks and day-to-day operations. This role offers a valuable opportunity for students or individuals interested in technology to gain hands-on experience in an IT support environment, collaborate with experienced professionals, and build a strong foundation in IT operations within a healthcare setting.



This position is on-site in Gillette, WY.



Essential Functions




  • Set up, configure, and deploy computers, monitors, printers, and other IT equipment to support clinical and administrative operations

  • Assist with organizing, labeling, tracking, and maintaining IT inventory across multiple hospital departments

  • Transport and install equipment in various locations while ensuring minimal disruption to patient care activities

  • Prepare outdated or retired equipment for secure disposal or storage in accordance with organizational policies and data security standards

  • Provide first-level support for basic technical issues, including hardware setup, connectivity checks, and troubleshooting under supervision

  • Assist with software installations, updates, and system imaging as directed by IT staff

  • Document completed tasks, equipment changes, and support activities accurately

  • Support IT team members with ongoing projects, upgrades, and maintenance initiatives

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in IT storage and work areas

  • Follow all hospital policies, including HIPAA and information security standards, when handling equipment and data

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational goals

  • Education


    • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate IT-related program preferred, but not required


      • Students from non-IT programs with a strong interest in technology are encouraged to apply
