Medicaid Specialist - Full Time

This is a Full Time position with a primary schedule of 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday


Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking an organized and experienced Medicaid Specialist, knowledgeable to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Medicaid Manager, The Medicaid Specialist is responsible for the Medicaid process from resident/family interview to application and approval.

The position duties include determining residents' eligibility for Medicaid approval, provide eligibility requirements and document requirements to family, and submit applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree

  • Experience in office/accounting/financial

  • Must be proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
