POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities.

EDUCATION/TRAINING EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks software

  • Experience with NetSmart software

  • Experience in non-profit healthcare a plus

THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION                 

  •   Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization
  •                       Prepares accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  •                       Maintains the general ledger
  • ·                     Reconciles accounts and assists with the month end close
  • ·                     Reconciles bank account monthly, verifies deposits and researches any discrepancies
  •                       Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, credit card, and other financial accounts
  • ·                     Posts payments by recording cash, checks and credit card transactions in accounting software, with coordination from Patient Financial Services and Marketing/Development departments
  • ·                     Prepares daily cash reconciliation and daily statistical reports
  •       ·         Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
  • ·                     Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures (GAAP)
  • ·                     Studies and recommends changes to accounting operations to enhance effectiveness
  • ·                     Prepares journal entries monthly, accumulating necessary information

 

Summary

Salary is $70,000-$75,000/annually D.O.E.
