Job Description

About the Role

The Data Integrity Specialist is responsible for executing and maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of merchandising data across systems. This role supports item master governance, product hierarchy maintenance, and data quality processes to ensure reliable data for merchandising, planning, pricing, and inventory operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute item setup, maintenance, updates, and bulk data corrections within merchandising systems.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of item attributes, pricing, product classifications, and hierarchy alignment.
  • Monitor data quality through audits, reporting, and validation tools; research and resolve discrepancies impacting merchandising, inventory, pricing, and digital channels.
  • Support root-cause analysis and ensure adherence to data governance standards, naming conventions, and attribute requirements.
  • Troubleshoot data-related system issues in partnership with IT and cross-functional teams.
  • Support testing, validation, and implementation of system updates, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Validate data flows across interconnected systems (e-commerce, POS, inventory, pricing, and planning platforms) to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct process mapping, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage backlogs to support efficient workflow execution and issue resolution.
  • Partner with merchandising, planning, pricing, and e-commerce teams to ensure data readiness and accuracy.
  • Respond to business stakeholder inquiries and provide timely issue resolution.
  • Support onboarding and training on data standards, processes, and system workflows.

What You Bring

  • Associates degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, data validation) required.
  • Required experience with data entry, data management, and maintaining well-organized data structures.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail operations, merchandising systems, data management, or a related field.
  • Understanding of item setup processes, retail hierarchies, and SKU-level data structures.
  • Experience with Oracle RMS/RPM, SAP CAR/MDG, PIM, MDM, or pricing systems.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks (DAMA, MDM best practices).
