Position Summary:
The Regional Clinical Director serves as a member of the State Leadership team and works to ensure the delivery of quality services. This role provides supervision and oversight to designated clinical staff while overseeing the clinical administration for all assigned sites and programs. The Regional Clinical Director will work to ensure the clinical facility (s) in our assigned areas comply with regulations and standards. The goal is to promote quality care and patient safety in the designated states. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
Essential Job Functions:
- Align clinical and treatment approach with WestCare’s values, ethics, and code of business;
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships and partnerships with federal, state, regulatory, and funding, and other bodies;
- Uphold strict confidentiality of individual information;
- Completes mandatory documentation and audits with timelines established by applicable regulations;
- Serves as a mentor for clinical staff, offering coaching and guidance where needed;
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies such as CARF Accreditation, Medicare and Medicaid, State Licensing, and other rules or standards to make sure WestCare meets all legal and ethical standards for effective care;
- Monitor and ensure staffing ratios are present in relation to the number of individuals being served;
- Provide education and training to clinical staff through training sessions, workshops, or even develop online modules;
- Create informative materials for staff that include standard operation policies of manuals that outline the regulations and provide guidance on how to comply with them;
- Provide a monthly report to the COO reporting on the clinical progress to ensure overall success of each state;
- Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, and goals of WestCare Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia;
- Acts as a liaison between WestCare and external agencies;
- Supports designated staff by being “on call” for emergencies on a 24hr basis and responding to emergency situations in a way that is consistent with WestCare’s policies, procedures, and ethical standards;
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
