Description
The Participant Custodian is responsible for delivering high-quality custodial and facility upkeep services at all Federal contract locations supported by South Carolina Vocations & Individual Advancement, Inc. (SCVIA). This role plays a key part in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments for employees, visitors, and stakeholders.
The Participant Custodian is expected to:
- Provide reliable and efficient custodial services in accordance with SCVIA standards and contract requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and supervisors to support the overall success and reputation of SCVIA.
- Represent SCVIA with professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the organization’s mission and goals.
Summary
Specific Responsibilities
- General Cleaning & Maintenance
Perform routine custodial duties across all assigned contract locations, including but not limited to cleaning carpets, tile floors, windows, mirrors, fixtures, surfaces, and common areas as scheduled. - Floor Care Services
Carry out comprehensive maintenance of hard‑surface floors and carpets, including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, and spot cleaning, while ensuring surfaces meet quality and safety standards. - Sanitization & Restroom Care
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and shared spaces using approved products and procedures to maintain a hygienic environment. - Outdoor Maintenance
Complete assigned outdoor tasks such as sweeping sidewalks, removing debris, and ensuring exterior areas remain clean, safe, and accessible. - Housekeeping & Janitorial Tasks
Support additional custodial and housekeeping assignments as scheduled, including replenishing supplies, emptying trash receptacles, and maintaining organization of custodial storage areas.
