Overview:
Exciting opportunity to join our clinical team as a full-time professional Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This position is the perfect fit if you are interested in working with a medically challenging patient population, learning something new every day, and working in an underserved area. To be a successful Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at ReGenesis Health Care you must be able to diagnose and treat acute behavioral problems in a wide variety of patients and work in a team with our nurses and physicians.
Excellent salary up to $115,000 with excellent full-time benefits. Sign on bonus and quarterly incentive.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will diagnose and treat acute behavioral problems, treat, and manage mild to severe mental health disorders.
- You will order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies.
- You will prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary for adult and pediatric patients.
- You will obtain medical histories and provide health maintenance including physical examinations.
- You will interpret and make appropriate decisions based on pertinent laboratory and clinical findings.
- You will promote positive behavioral health through education and counseling.
- You will complete timely documentation in the EMR for each patient encounter and review patient medical records for accuracy, and completeness as outlined in policy.
- You will prescribe treatment plans for management/care for patients and families according to protocols and refer appropriately.

Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited-Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program.
- Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Fellowship program.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.
- Recognized as a Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.
- Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Care facility preferred.
- Must maintain a current certification in Basic Life Support techniques.
